| Falcon wanted a little forum post on how to surf so I thought I give it a shot.
First things first. Basically, all surfing is, is strafing. You won't ever need your W or S buttons unless you're not surfing. Your mouse is very important too, because seeing as all you're using is A and D your gonna need your mouse to direct where you're moving.
Never let go of either A or D. You should be holding one or the other down at all times or you will lose precious momentum.
Spectate the best surfers in your server as much as you can. Once you get a bit more familiar with basic surfing, you will begin to understand different people's techniques and eventually you can perfect your own.
It takes a lot of practice. It may take you a long time to get even the easiest maneuvers correct.
You may see people jumping really far on the water or other flat surfaces. All you need to do that is jump whilst holding any direction as soon as you hit the surface. (When i say water, I mean that really shallow water).
There's not really that much I can say about surfing that wouldn't be easier to just show you. Just remember it's strafing. If you need to know anything else just ask, I probably didn't write this as well as I should....... | |
